Refund Policy

We have a 14-day return policy, you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return and then 14 days from the point of us accepting the return to return the goods to us. 

Should you notify us of a return within 14 days of delivery, you will be eligible for full refund (excluding shipping costs, payment fees and any additional services (painting, ceramic coating etc.) which are non-refundable. You will have 14 days from the date of notifying us to return the item, otherwise your return will be rejected. Refunds will be provided as store credit or at our discretion to the original payment method used at purchase.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as oils and fluids, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products and activation codes
  • Special order items
  • Custom order items
  • Painted or other customised (built to order) items made to your specification

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted such as any item that’s not in its original condition or is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

We reserve the right to review each return request individually. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us.

Damages and Issues

If the item is defective or incorrect please contact us within 7 days after you receive the item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

To assess refund eligibility for any complaints, evidence must be provided.

If the product is determined to be faulty without any fault on the customer's part, Shifty Mods policy is to provide a refund of the original purchase price or a replacement product, with the item either sent to Shifty Mods or directly to the manufacturer under their warranty policy.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain automotive parts cannot be returned, including custom products (like special orders or personalized items). Additionally, we do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases related to automotive parts. If you have any questions or concerns about your specific automotive part, please contact us.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on custom products, special orders, built-to-order, pre-order products, additional services and gift cards. 

In the event you return an item that has been used/installed you may not be entitled to a refund. In the circumstance a return of this kind is accepted it will be subject to 50% restocking fee or not refunded at all.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refund Processing

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded your original payment amount to store credit, or at our discretion to your original payment method within10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and transfer the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at our contact form.

Return Shipping

To return your product, you should mail your product to our business address. This will be supplied on approval to return your item.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item for exchanges or change of mind. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of the original shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.

Please ensure that the original packaging is in a resalable condition, otherwise a 25% restocking fee will apply and will be deducted from your refund. Do not tape or place any other material that will damage the box the physical part has arrived in. If there is no outer packaging used for the part, please be mindful of how you reseal the package for the return. Where possible, it is best to leave the packaging unopened if you intend on returning an item

If you consider the packaging to have arrived in a damaged condition on delivery to you, please inform us during the return request prior to sending the item to us, otherwise the restocking fee will apply if damage is found.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $100, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. If we do not receive the item, no refund will be issued.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
