IGL Ecoclean Clay Towel – Reusable Paint Decontamination Towel

IGL Ecoclean Clay Towel is a reusable automotive decontamination towel designed to remove bonded contamination from paintwork without the handling difficulties of a traditional clay bar.

Its polymer surface helps remove contaminants such as overspray, rail dust, industrial fallout and embedded surface contamination, leaving the paint smoother and properly prepared for polishing or protection.

Unlike a traditional clay bar, the towel can be rinsed clean and reused multiple times when properly maintained.

Ideal when normal washing and chemical decontamination have left the paint feeling rough or contaminated.

For a thorough decontamination process, use IGL Ecoclean Iron first to remove ferrous contamination, followed by the Clay Towel where remaining bonded contamination is still present.

Always use the towel with adequate lubrication.

PAINT DECONTAMINATION

1. Thoroughly wash and rinse the vehicle.

2. Apply a suitable clay lubricant or diluted car shampoo to the working area.

3. Gently glide the Clay Towel across the lubricated surface using straight passes and light pressure.

4. Allow the polymer surface to do the work rather than applying heavy pressure.

5. Rinse the towel regularly to remove accumulated contamination.

6. Continue until the surface feels smooth.

7. Rinse or wipe away remaining lubricant and dry the vehicle.

Do not use the Clay Towel dry.

IGL also advises against using it on surfaces above 60°C.

AFTER USE

Rinse the towel thoroughly with clean water after use and allow it to dry before storage.

Keep the polymer surface free from dirt, grit and other contamination.

What does the IGL Clay Towel remove?

No. The Clay Towel removes bonded contamination. Polishing is a separate process used to correct paint defects and refine the finish.
