IGL Ecoclean Glass+ – Water Spot & Mineral Deposit Remover

IGL Ecoclean Glass+ is a specialised glass polishing and mineral-deposit remover designed to remove stubborn water spots, mineral staining and contamination that normal glass cleaner cannot remove.

Its fine abrasive system mechanically works against mineral deposits and water spotting while restoring clarity to automotive and architectural glass.

Glass+ is a corrective glass-cleaning product, not a regular maintenance glass cleaner.

Treat coated, tinted or otherwise specialised glass with additional care and test compatibility before full application.

WATER SPOT REMOVAL

1. Thoroughly clean the glass to remove loose dirt and contamination.

2. Apply a small amount of IGL Ecoclean Glass+ to a suitable applicator.

3. Work a small section of glass using firm, overlapping movements.

4. Continue until the mineral deposits have been removed.

5. Remove residue using a damp microfibre towel.

6. Rinse where required and dry the glass.

7. Inspect under good lighting and repeat if necessary.

For severe etched water spots, additional machine polishing may be required.

AFTER CORRECTION

Once the glass has been restored, it can be prepared for application of a suitable glass coating or hydrophobic treatment.

Is Glass+ a normal glass cleaner?

No. Glass+ is a corrective mineral and water-spot removal product. A normal glass cleaner is better for regular maintenance.

Does Glass+ contain abrasives?

Yes. IGL's current formulation uses fine micronised abrasive material to mechanically remove mineral staining.

Can I use Glass+ on paint?

No. IGL's current global specification specifically lists Glass+ as unsuitable for paintwork.

Can Glass+ remove old glass coatings?

IGL states that the current abrasive formulation can remove failed SiO₂ or ceramic coating residue from glass.

Can it remove severe glass etching?

It works best on mineral deposits and surface water spotting. Deep etching may require more aggressive glass polishing or machine correction.

Can I use it on acrylic or plastic windows?

No. IGL specifically advises against using Glass+ on acrylic or tinted plastic windows.
