IGL Ecoclean Iron – Concentrated Iron Remover & Wheel Cleaner

IGL Ecoclean Iron is a concentrated iron fallout remover and wheel cleaner designed to dissolve embedded brake dust, rail dust and other ferrous contamination from paintwork and wheels.

Its water-based, acid-free and pH-balanced formula reacts with iron contamination, turning purple as it breaks the particles down so they can be safely rinsed away.

With a low-odour formula and broad surface compatibility, Ecoclean Iron is ideal for both routine wheel cleaning and deeper paint decontamination before polishing or ceramic coating.

BEST USED FOR

Ideal for removing stubborn brake dust from wheels, decontaminating paintwork and preparing a vehicle before polishing, paint correction or ceramic coating.

For paint decontamination, Ecoclean Iron should be used at full strength.

For wheel cleaning, the concentrated formula can be diluted with water at approximately 1:0.5 – one part Ecoclean Iron to half a part water.

For example, 500ml of Ecoclean Iron can be mixed with 250ml of water to produce 750ml of wheel cleaner.

PAINT DECONTAMINATION

Use undiluted / full strength when removing iron fallout from paintwork.

1. Ensure the surface is cool before application.
2. Spray IGL Ecoclean Iron evenly over the contaminated area.
3. Allow the product to dwell for approximately 2–5 minutes.
4. The product will change colour as it reacts with iron contamination.
5. Agitate with a soft brush or suitable wash media if required.
6. Rinse thoroughly with water.
7. Repeat on heavily contaminated areas if necessary.

Do not allow Ecoclean Iron to dry on the surface.

WHEEL CLEANING

For regular wheel cleaning, dilute approximately:

1 part Ecoclean Iron : 0.5 parts water

Example:
500ml Ecoclean Iron + 250ml water = 750ml wheel cleaner

1. Apply to a cool wheel.
2. Allow the product to react with embedded brake dust and contamination.
3. Agitate with a suitable wheel brush or wash mitt where required.
4. Rinse thoroughly with water.

RECOMMENDED DECONTAMINATION PROCESS

1. Wash
Thoroughly wash and rinse the vehicle to remove loose dirt and contamination.

2. Iron Decontamination
Apply IGL Ecoclean Iron to remove embedded ferrous contamination from the paintwork and wheels.

3. Further Decontamination
Use mechanical decontamination such as a clay towel where required to remove remaining bonded contamination.

4. Polish or Prepare
Polish the paint where required, or use IGL Ecoclean Strip as the final surface-preparation step before applying a coating.
